Just over a day after the passing of their son-in-law, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent attended a memorial service with composure.
On Sunday evening, Thomas Kingston, who was married to their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor, was found deceased at a residence in Gloucestershire.
The following morning, despite their recent loss, Lady Gabriella’s parents attended a Thanksgiving service held in honor of Greece’s late King Constantine. The service took place at Windsor Castle, where members of the Greek Royal Family, including Sheikh Anne-Marie and Crown Prince Pavlos, were present. This was also the location where Thomas and Lady Gabriella had their wedding in 2019.
King Charles and Prince William had planned to attend but had to cancel due to other commitments.
An inquest will be conducted to determine the cause of Thomas’s death, but at this time, no foul play is suspected.
A statement from Thomas’s family read, “With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son, and brother. Tom was a remarkable individual who brought pride to those around him. We ask for privacy as we navigate this difficult time.”
