Simone Biles is now officially Mrs. Owens after her intimate wedding ceremony with NFL player Jonathan Owens. The couple exchanged vows in a private setting with just a judge present, and they later shared their joyous wedding photos on social media.
Simone Biles is a pioneering American gymnast who has set new standards in her sport. With an extraordinary collection of Olympic medals, including four golds, and a record 30 World Championship medals, 23 of which are gold, Biles is the most decorated gymnast in World Championship history.
Jonathan Owens, who humbly calls himself “a kid from St. Louis” on Instagram, has also made a name for himself in football. After graduating from Christian Brothers College High School, Owens played college football at Missouri Western State University, where he was named Male Student-Athlete of the Year in his senior year.
Although he went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, Owens signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent. Despite a knee injury preventing his rookie debut, he persevered and now plays as a Safety for the Houston Texans, with Simone Biles supporting him at every game.
Their romance began in 2020 when they connected through a dating app, with Simone Biles making the first move.
As the pandemic kept them together, their bond grew stronger, leading to Jonathan Owens’ proposal in February 2022. Biles said “yes” and described it as the easiest decision she ever made. After more than a year of planning, they celebrated their love with a private wedding ceremony.
