Video shows masked figure at the home
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on January 31 and reported missing the following day. Doorbell footage released to the public shows a masked individual slowly approaching her porch, appearing to lower their head in an attempt to avoid being identified.
The FBI has described the suspect as a man around 5’9” with a medium build, carrying a 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack. Authorities are especially concerned for Nancy’s safety because she depends on daily medication.
Investigators also confirmed that blood was found on her porch. Several messages claiming to be ransom notes were sent to news outlets, but deadlines included in those messages have passed without further contact. Authorities are still tracing the source of a message sent to a Tucson news station demanding payment in cryptocurrency.

As the search enters its third week, Savannah Guthrie shared an emotional video message pleading for her mother’s safe return. She asked anyone who may know something to come forward, emphasizing that it’s never too late to do the right thing.
Police say residents should expect continued law-enforcement activity in the area as the search and forensic work intensify. While many questions remain unanswered, investigators say they are still holding onto hope that Nancy Guthrie can be found alive.
