An unusual noise from the restroom during a cross-country flight startled flight attendant Leslie deeply, but she had no idea the child inside would change her life forever.
Leslie massaged her temples as she walked towards her plane, struggling with a pounding headache from a night spent partying at one of Atlanta’s most popular nightclubs.
“Amy!” Leslie called out, spotting her fellow flight attendant. “You wouldn’t happen to have any painkillers, would you?”
Amy rolled her eyes playfully. “You know better than to party before a long-haul flight. But yes, I have some.”
“What else is there to do—tour museums?” Leslie sighed. “At least partying distracts me.”
Amy gave Leslie an encouraging nudge, and they boarded the aircraft together.
“Everything will eventually fall into place, Leslie,” Amy assured her. “Just keep the faith.”
After assisting passengers with boarding and delivering the safety demonstration, Leslie sneaked into the galley and swallowed the painkillers.
“Maybe Amy wouldn’t mind if I took a quick nap in the crew area,” Leslie thought, turning to speak to her colleague. However, an unexpected noise stopped her.
Leslie listened carefully but dismissed the sound as her imagination. Maybe Amy was right about her partying habits. She decided to skip some of her planned club visits upon arrival in Los Angeles.
