The Biker Found Two Kids Waiting At The Bus Stop With A Note That Said “Please Take Care Of Them”

We called 911, but the girls clung to us. Rose said for the first time, “Don’t want police. Want you.”

Within hours, emergency placement approval came through—just enough for Jake and me to temporarily foster them. For four hours, we fed them chicken nuggets, played with crayons, and shared motorcycle stories. By the time social workers returned, a bond had already formed.

Three months later, we’re official foster parents. Lily starts kindergarten soon, Rose talks nonstop, and our biker brothers built them a pink, daisy-painted bunk bed. Their birthdays are marked with balloons, laughter, and hugs—proof that family isn’t always who gives birth; sometimes, it’s who shows up.

Every time I see their blue balloon—now deflated but cherished—I remember that morning. Two little girls, a paper bag, and a chance encounter that changed all of our lives. They chose us that day. And we chose them back. Forever.
