No one chooses to be a beggar, relying on the generosity of others. It’s a difficult and challenging life, one that most people struggle to understand. Sadly, many have a negative view of beggars, often ignoring or dismissing them.
However, Casey Fischer chose to take a different approach. One day, she encountered a beggar who had only received a single dollar from passersby. Casey invited him to join her, bought him coffee and a pretzel, and they began talking.
The man, named Chris, shared his story—his mother had died from cancer, and he ended up on the streets due to struggles with addiction. He expressed a deep desire to turn his life around and become the son his mother had hoped for.
