Earlier this year, former President Donald Trump made history as the oldest person to be inaugurated as President of the United States. Having recently turned 79, Trump has repeatedly stated that he remains in good health and fully capable of performing the duties of the office.
In April, White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella released a health report following a routine check-up. According to the report, Trump is in “excellent cognitive and physical health,” with no significant abnormalities detected in scans of his heart, eyes, ears, neck, and throat. The report also noted a colonoscopy performed in 2024, which identified a benign polyp and mild diverticulitis—an inflammation in parts of the colon. A follow-up colonoscopy has been scheduled for three years later.
The report confirmed that the president is taking medications for cholesterol, heart health, and a mild skin condition, all of which are considered standard for someone of his age.
Questions Arise About Hand Bruising
In recent months, observers on social media have noted the appearance of bruising and wrinkling on Trump’s hands, with some photos drawing increased public attention. The first noticeable instance came during a court appearance last spring, and similar marks have appeared in subsequent public events, including a February meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and a recent Kennedy Center performance of Les Misérables.
