In a wide-ranging interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, former President Donald Trump expressed serious concern over what he believes was a damaging leak of classified military intelligence. The leak in question involves an early Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) assessment related to U.S. military actions against Iranian nuclear infrastructure—an assessment that was later updated as new information became available.
According to media reports from CNN and The New York Times, initial intelligence suggested that U.S. B-2 bomber strikes did not cause lasting damage to Iran’s nuclear program. This early report, which was later revised, sparked debate over the operation’s effectiveness. Trump, however, views the leak of this sensitive information as deeply troubling.
On June 27, Trump took to Truth Social to express his frustration, claiming that the release of the intelligence may have come from political opponents. He suggested that those responsible should be held accountable under the law.
Speaking with Bartiromo, Trump reiterated this concern, saying, “They should be prosecuted,” when asked about the possibility that classified information had been shared with the media. He emphasized that national security should remain above politics, and that leaking sensitive material—particularly while a mission is ongoing—undermines the safety and integrity of the operation.
