Former Vice President Mike Pence has voiced his support for President Donald Trump following the recent U.S. military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Appearing on Fox News Channel’s The Story with Martha MacCallum on June 23, 2025, Pence praised the administration’s decisive response and the bravery of the American military personnel involved.
The interview began with a clip from early 2024, in which Pence had expressed concerns about Trump’s alignment with conservative values and chose not to endorse him during that year’s presidential race. When asked if he regretted those comments, Pence acknowledged their past political differences but emphasized that recent events had shifted his perspective.
“In moments of crisis, strong leadership matters,” Pence stated. “What we saw was the kind of clarity and resolve that reminds our adversaries that the United States takes threats to global security seriously.”
Pence highlighted the administration’s longstanding stance on Iran, referencing actions taken during their previous term in office—including withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, responding to chemical attacks in Syria, dismantling ISIS strongholds, and authorizing a strike on Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
He suggested that the recent military actions were consistent with the message the Trump administration has long sent: that Iran must not be allowed to pursue nuclear capabilities unchecked.
