Update on Texas Couple Reported Missing After Thanksgiving

Without cell phones or tracking devices, authorities had to piece together fragmented clues while time grew critical. The urgency was heightened by the fact that Gary relied on supplemental oxygen, raising fears that the couple might have been in danger long before they were found.

Tragic Discovery in New Mexico

The search concluded on Tuesday with heartbreaking news. Gary and Linda were found deceased in Quay County, New Mexico. Panhandle Police Chief Sace Hardman reported that foul play is not suspected. Early signs indicate hypothermia may have been a factor, though official autopsies will confirm the cause of death. Their bodies were transported to Albuquerque for examination.

Hardman highlighted that license plate readers and GPS tracking were instrumental in tracing their final movements. The collaboration of multiple agencies, along with community support, played a vital role in the extensive search.
