Wedding planning is a delicate dance between love, logistics, and friendship. When my best friend Emily asked us to be her bridesmaids, we said yes with excitement, imagining a day of pastel gowns, heartfelt vows, and picture-perfect memories. The morning of the wedding sparkled with champagne and hairspray. Emily had handpicked our dresses—stunning, intricate lace in custom pastels. We were thrilled…until she cornered us mid-reception.
“Ladies,” she said, smiling but firm, “each gown cost $1,200. I’ll need reimbursement before the honeymoon. How would you like to transfer?”
