White House Responds to False Claims Linking Trump to Texas Floods

The devastating flash floods that struck the Texas Hill Country have now claimed the lives of more than 100 individuals, including children and camp counselors. Officials continue to search for those still missing as communities rally together in the face of tragedy.

As of Monday, 104 people have been confirmed dead, with more unaccounted for along the Guadalupe River, which rose 26 feet in under an hour on Friday. Among the victims are campers and counselors from Camp Mystic, a Christian girls’ summer camp near Hunt, Texas.

In a heartfelt statement, Camp Mystic shared their grief:

“Our hearts are broken alongside our families that are enduring this unimaginable tragedy. We are praying for them constantly… May the Lord continue to wrap His presence around all of us.”

Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha confirmed that multiple search and rescue efforts are ongoing, and authorities remain hopeful as they work around the clock to locate the missing.

Governor Greg Abbott visited the affected area over the weekend and described the scene as “nothing short of horrific,” particularly the damage done to the camp and nearby communities.
