Woman issues terrifying warning after finding a stroller abandoned on the side of the road

A growing number of people have reported a concerning trend that could put unsuspecting drivers at risk—and one woman’s recent experience has gone viral for all the right reasons. Nancy Walsh, a mother and real estate agent, was driving home one evening along a quiet country road when she spotted something that instantly raised alarm: a lone baby stroller placed just off the shoulder in a grassy area.

At first, she considered stopping. But something about the scene felt wrong. The stroller looked clean and untouched, with no other cars or people nearby. Trusting her instincts, Nancy chose to keep driving. Once she was at a safe distance, she pulled over and called local authorities to report what she saw.

Later that night, Nancy shared her experience on social media, hoping to prevent others from falling into a potential trap. Her post quickly gained attention, being shared more than 23,000 times. “If you see a stroller, car seat, or anything that looks like baby gear on the side of the road, especially in a remote area—please don’t stop or get out,” she wrote. “Call the police instead. It could be a setup.”

Online commenters responded with support and shared similar warnings. Many noted that this tactic has been used in various areas as a means of drawing drivers out of their vehicles. In some reports, criminals have used baby-related items, toys, or even staged emergencies to lure people into vulnerable situations. Once a person exits their car—often alone and concerned—they may be at risk for theft or worse.
