This early exposure to cinema planted the seeds for her future career in entertainment.
In 1942, at the age of 10, Angie and her family relocated to Burbank, California. She attended Bellarmine-Jefferson High School, graduating at 15, and later pursued higher education at Immaculate Heart College and Glendale Community College, earning a business degree.
Path to Stardom
Angie’s path to stardom began unexpectedly when she placed second in a local preliminary for the Miss America contest, catching the attention of a casting agent. This led to a spot on The Jimmy Durante Show and eventually to guest-starring roles on NBC. Her television acting debut came on New Year’s Eve 1954 in an episode of Death Valley Days.
