Breaking in Washington, Trump Unveils Urgent Bombshell Statement

President Trump Announces Significant Decline in Illegal Border Crossings

In a recent announcement on his Truth Social platform, former President Donald Trump shared that illegal border crossings had seen a substantial decline during his first full month in office. Citing data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), he reported 8,326 apprehensions at the southern border, a sharp decrease compared to previous months. Trump credited this decline to his administration’s border security measures, which he described as firm, strategic, and effective in addressing illegal immigration.

Trump’s announcement was delivered with confidence, emphasizing that the drop in illegal crossings was a direct outcome of his administration’s policies. “There were only 8,326 apprehensions by Border Patrol at the U.S.-Mexico border,” he stated, underscoring that his approach had significantly altered the situation at the border. He further explained that those apprehended faced appropriate legal actions in accordance with immigration laws, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to upholding border security.

The contrast between these numbers and those recorded under the previous administration was notable. In December 2023, U.S. Border Patrol documented 301,981 encounters at the southern border, one of the highest figures on record. Trump suggested that the reduction seen in his first month was a reflection of his administration’s proactive approach to enforcement. He pointed to strengthened border security measures, increased patrol efforts, and stricter policies aimed at discouraging unlawful crossings.
