The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery is one of the most solemn and revered memorials in the United States. In the clip, a soldier from the U.S. Army’s elite 3rd Infantry Regiment—known as “The Old Guard”—can be seen performing the ceremonial guard duty at the Tomb. This watch is maintained 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in all weather conditions. It is one of the most precise and honorable military traditions in the country.

As the soldier marched in front of the tomb, a murmur of laughter suddenly rang out from within the crowd gathered nearby.
