David stood in the pouring rain, his arms wrapped tightly around his two-year-old grandson, Noah. Helpless, he watched as the floodwaters tore apart the home he had built with his own hands.

“Dear Lord, give me strength,” he whispered, his voice breaking. “What do I do now?”

David had spent his entire life enduring hardships. Raised in an orphanage, he had fought for stability, raising a daughter after losing his wife at a young age. He thought that after years of struggle, old age would finally bring him peace.
