A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat at his feet, holding a sign that read, “I am blind, please help.” Unfortunately, there were only a few coins in the hat.
As a man walked by, he dropped some coins into the hat, then flipped the sign over and wrote something new. After putting the sign back, more people began to notice, and the hat quickly filled up with donations.
Later that afternoon, the man returned, and the boy, recognizing his footsteps, asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign? What did you write?”
The man replied, “I simply shared the truth in a different way. I wrote, ‘Today is a beautiful day; but I cannot see it.'”
