As a teenager, Bo developed two major passions: horses and acting. She was an enthusiastic equestrian, competing in various events, and also pursued acting through formal training.

Bo’s film career began with the 1977 movie Orca, in which a killer whale bites off her leg. However, her breakthrough came in 1979 with Blake Edwards’ 10, where her signature blonde braids made a lasting impression. She appeared in a few more films, including Tarzan, the Ape Man (1981), Bolero (1984), and Ghosts Can’t Do It (1990), but chose not to continue in action films.
