My daughter-in-law said I’m too old to wear “this” swimsuit. She hurt me so much that I decided to teach her a lesson.

“I always prided myself on my youthful spirit, believing age is just a number. But one scorching summer day at my son’s mansion, my resilience faced a real test.

My son’s estate, a testament to his hard work, was impressive, but it was overshadowed by my daughter-in-law, Karen. Since marrying my son, Karen had changed, growing arrogant and acting as if she ruled over everyone, with my son silently supporting her.

On that hot day, I slipped into my favorite swimsuit, ready to enjoy the pool. But when Karen saw me, she sneered, “You’re too old to wear that. Cover up those wrinkles!” Her words cut deep. I pretended to sunbathe, hiding my tears, but I was determined not to let her get the best of me.

I decided to respond carefully, knowing that reacting in anger wouldn’t help. I observed Karen’s routines and waited for the right moment, which came during one of her book club meetings. As I served refreshments, I casually mentioned, “Karen, I hope your charity event goes well.”
