My Husband’s Friend Accidentally Exposed That He Is Cheating on Me and I Took My Revenge Gracefully

Mark and I had a solid six-year relationship. We were acquainted long before that, both working in the same building. Mark, known as the office charmer, always had a new romantic interest.

Despite his reputation, when Mark decided to settle down, he chose me. And for the past six years, we seemed to be perpetually in our honeymoon phase. Or so I thought.

Last weekend, Mark mentioned needing to go into the office. “Just some paperwork to catch up on, Amy,” he assured me. “Maybe I’ll bring it home and work from here.”

“Sounds good,” I replied. “Nobody wants to spend their Saturday in the office.”

With a kiss on my forehead and a promise of Indian takeout, Mark hurried out.

Hours passed, and I assumed Mark was engrossed in his work and would return when finished. I didn’t mind; I was looking forward to a cozy day of self-care.

As I delved into a book, my phone buzzed, interrupting the calm. Tom’s name flashed on the screen, Mark’s closest friend. His voicemail immediately caught my attention.

“Hey,” Tom’s cheerful voice began. “Running a bit late for our double date. I’ll be there around 2 PM, okay? Coachella, right?”

Confusion creased my brow. What double date? Mark hadn’t mentioned any plans beyond work.

I replayed the message, hoping for misunderstanding. But there it was, Tom mentioning a double date.
