Dog Goes to Closed Store Daily then Leaves, One Evening Poor Boy Notices and Follows It

Chris, an 18-year-old warehouse worker, had grown used to the stray animals wandering near his job, but one dog always stood out. A quiet Shiba Inu, later known as Ollie, visited the abandoned bike shop next door every day, sitting patiently in front of its glass windows. Chris’s coworkers believed the dog had belonged to the shop’s former owner, who hadn’t been seen in a while.

Moved by the dog’s loyalty, Chris began offering Ollie part of his lunch. Oddly, the dog never ate the food on the spot — he’d take it and run off. At first, Chris wondered if Ollie had puppies to feed, but soon realized Ollie was male. Over time, the little dog began to look more tired and thin, raising concern.

One chilly evening, Chris found Ollie again at the shop’s doorstep, staring through the window as if waiting for someone who might never return. Feeling a deep sense of compassion, Chris decided to bring the dog home — even though he knew his girlfriend, Mila, wasn’t a fan of pets.

Mila was upset, pointing out their busy lives and small apartment. But after some discussion, she reluctantly agreed to let Chris keep Ollie — as long as the dog stayed out of trouble.

That night, Chris and Ollie slept in the kitchen together. But by morning, Ollie was gone. Chris feared Mila had sent him away, but she insisted she hadn’t. Then she noticed her dinner steak had disappeared. Frustrated, she accused Ollie of stealing and warned Chris not to get too attached.
