We explained to her that her reaction to the initial gift was disrespectful and not something we could support. Despite her pleas and threats to boycott Christmas, we stood firm in our decision.
We feel that our actions towards Eloise were justified, especially considering all we have done for her in the past. We have supported her financially through college and her wedding, and her parents have also contributed significantly. Additionally, Eloise and her husband are financially comfortable and do not desperately need our money.
