Kremlin Responds to Zelenskyy’s Openness to Peace Talks Amid Ongoing Ukraine Conflict

On February 28, Trump and Vice President JD Vance met with Zelenskyy in the Oval Office to discuss the ongoing situation in Ukraine. Following an early departure from the White House and the cancellation of a joint press conference, Zelenskyy sent a letter to Trump, which was later read aloud in Congress on March 4. In the letter, Zelenskyy conveyed Ukraine’s willingness to engage in negotiations. “Ukraine is prepared to discuss peace as soon as possible. My team and I are ready to collaborate under President Trump’s leadership to achieve lasting peace. We deeply appreciate America’s support in preserving Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence,” the letter stated.
